Speed testing was a very important requirement in the early development of the Kingfisher Eclipse. It needs to be a user friendly product and if it can’t be left in the open position when the boat is underway it would not be satisfactory. We have tested the 2.8 m model up to 60 kph, however if you are heading into a serious headwind or in big swell you will need to slow down to compensate for the extra force on the bimini.
